On Wednesday, Thursday, May 13, 2021 Mr. Duncan Chapman of Amisk, Alberta passed away at the Killam General Hospital at the age of 76 years.
Duncan is survived by many friends within the local community as well as throughout North America. Hunting, Trapping, Skeet Shooting, Golf and Cribbage were all well known passions.
The following facebook post by the Hughenden Golf Course describes Duncan’s enormous involvement within the local golf community and is a true testament to his generosity and commitment. “It is with our heavy hearts to announce that long time head greens keeper and member of our club Duncan Chapman has passed away. Duncan has been with the course for 30+ years working without wage and spending an impeccable amount of time to get the course in amazing shape. He is one of the biggest impacts of why our course has built the reputation of maintaining excellent conditions year after year. Duncan’s legacy will live on through our course as one of its most influential individuals to play on it. We will miss him dearly.”
Due to the current government restrictions a celebration of life will take place later in the summer. If so desired it is suggested that donation in memory of Duncan be made to the Hughenden Golf Club.
